Welcome to the Vancouver Chants website, a resource for chanting activities throughout the Vancouver area. Chanting – the usually melodic repetition of a sacred word or phrase – is a doorway to expanded states of consciousness. We are blessed in the Lower Mainland with the richness of our chanting world. The long-term intention of Vancouver Chants is to be an informational pipeline and organizing tool for the breadth and depth of local chant. Please let us know about chant events and we will list them on this site.
Last summer we organized the 6-Day Peace Chant that coincided with the World Peace Forum conference June 23–28, 2006. Both this event, and the ChantFest 2006 held in February, were well attended and very successful.
